The game began with intense battles for possession. Although the play was somewhat erratic initially, Rushall held their ground, limiting Red Star to long-range shots and catching them offside. As we settled into our rhythm, we gained better control of the ball, allowing us to apply pressure and create opportunities. Zak capitalized on this by scoring a fantastic goal.

However, a defensive mistake led to Red Star equalizing. Instead of playing the ball wide, we made a square pass that allowed the opposition to capitalize and find the net, making it 1-1.

Undeterred, our resilient team pressed forward. Erin’s long throw found Zak, who delivered a precise cross into the box. After some pinball action, Maurice powered the ball home, putting us ahead.

Our third goal showcased excellent teamwork. Immy and Jareal combined in midfield, playing the ball wide to Riley, who delivered a pinpoint cross. Maurice deftly threaded it through to Zak, who finished clinically.

In the second half, our composed team continued to apply pressure. A free kick near the sideline provided an opportunity. Erin’s exquisite delivery allowed Maurice to volley the ball into the net—unstoppable!

Imogen remained influential, drilling a pass into Maurice’s feet, who then set up Zak for our final goal. Despite missing key players and nursing injuries, we demonstrated resilience and secured a satisfying victory.
